The meeting of the Justin Heritage Committee was called to order at 6:24 pm on May 19, 2022 at City Hall by Jennifer Green.

  • Consideration of Open Issues

    • Section 501(c)(3) name Justin Heritage Foundation approved by majority vote.
    • EIN has been established.
    • Domain Name and preliminary website created justinheritagefoundation.com  . Motion made by Jennifer Green to authorize the SOS charges approximately $300.  

    Motion carried unanimously.

    • Motion made by Jennifer Green to authorize $15 monthly website cost for 1 year. Re-evaluate after one year.  Motion carried unanimously.
    • Motion made by Gwen St. Clair to obtain a bank account at Justin City bank requiring 2 signatures.

    Motion carried unanimously. 

    • 501(c)(3): Justin Heritage Foundation Bylaws discussed and pending final draft.  
    • Motion made by Gwen St. Clair for general membership $25 and active membership $50.

    Motion carried unanimously.

    • Relationship of 501(c)(3) with City of Justin tabled.

    The proposed agenda for the next meeting is as follows:

    1. Short- and long-term goals.
    2. Review final draft Justin Heritage Foundation Bylaws.
    3. Board organization chart with responsibilities outlined.
