The regular meeting was called to order at 5:00pm and was presided over by President, Jennifer Green.
Board members in attendance: Gwen St. Clair, Lea Bryant, Kelli Thielemann, India White, Glenda Garrett, Bonnie McCaig (virtual) and Bailey Acosta (virtual)
Active members in attendance: Toni Bostick, Leah Mlynczyk, Karen Pacheco, Courtney Pacheco, Candance Novak (virtual)
Associate members in attendance: John Mounce, Shanna Moore

Minutes from the previous meeting on April 9, 2024, were approved as read.

Consideration and Action of Agenda Items

Report presented by Jennifer Green, President.
⬤ Gaston House Update
-Clean-up dates of Sunday, May 19 and Sunday, May 26 1pm-5pm. Kellie Thielemann to
contact City for dumpster. Waivers needed for volunteers (Jennifer Green to prepare.).
-$4,500 payment given to Kellie Thielemann to purchase windmill from Houston Marquis.
-India White to confirm cost of fence rental renewal.
⬤ Insurance
-General Liability and Director & Officer Liability Policies renewals due (in budget). Documents
provided.
-Liability Policy renewal due (in budget); Jennifer Green to check with City of Justin if JHF
needs this policy going forward. Document provided.
-Volunteer and Event Policies will be up for renewal in October.
⬤ Post Office Box due for renewal (in budget).
⬤ Financials
-Documents provided.
⬤ Ice Cream Social
-$1,600 raised.
⬤ Board of Directors Appointment
-Will remain as is with the Treasurer position open for now.
⬤ Brick Program
- Have 8 pending orders.
- Cut-off for new orders June 14, 2024; order to be placed June 30, 2024. Will be posted on
Facebook.
⬤ Casino Night
-Has been publicized on Facebook.
-General discussion about the event.
-Need to solicit for sponsors.

Report presented by India White, Builder Director.
- Gave update on recent meeting with City of Justin.
- Jennifer Green, Lea Bryant, and India White to meet with City of Justin and architect May 15,
2024.
- Will meet with EDC/CDC on grant.

Report presented by Lea Bryant, Resource Development Director.
- Gave report on Hands on History Program held on May 2, 2024.
- Gave update on Kroger Reward Program.
- Presented “Jewel of Justin” proposal to recognize businesses/individuals/other.

- Additional shelves placed in storage unit.
- Arrangements to get the tractor being made by Rich Garrett.
